5 Tips for Getting Ready for the Paddling Season

1. Locate All of Your Paddling Gear: You will want to make sure all your gear is clean & easily accessible

2. Inventory Your Canoe / Kayak Gear: Unbury everything you will want to make sure you have found your kayak or canoe, your PFD’s, paddles, spray skirts and dry bags, booties, gloves, dry top, throw rope, knife, wet suits, shirts, shorts, hat, float bags, paddle float, bilge pump, compass, signals, footwear, paddling jacket and pants. Other items you might need, sunblock, lip balm, water bottles, dry boxes, duct tape, tools, towels, sunglasses and cord, other.

What’s All the Hype?

SUP-ing This Spring

Stand-Up Paddleboarding, sometimes identified as SUP-ing is a great way to enjoy a relatively new way of paddling. This sport is huge in Hawaii, California and Florida and is coming this way like a WAVE!!

You can Stand-Up Paddleboard wherever there is water, rivers, ponds, lakes and the ocean surf. Once you get on a SUP, you will not want to get off, it is absolutely loads of fun. “Great workout too!” Come on down to NKC Paddle Shop and enjoy the fun with NKC.

ACA Certified Instructor Courses

Would you like to be an A.C.A. Kayak Instructor? If so sign up today. In order to participate in an Instructor Certification Exam, an Instructor Candidate must satisfy Essential Eligibility Criteria.

(16 hours), and will be held at Lake Rico, Massasoit State Park, Taunton, MA.
